hi i’m ila i like typing in lower case so people don’t think my name is LLA.

i took a roundabout path to comics, from loving them when i was young to studying film in college because it seemed more prestigious to working on film sets and writing scripts to realizing what i really want to be doing is drawing those scripts. so here i am.

my other life is in community organizing and philanthropy and i’m particularly interested in the role that art and stories can play in social justice movements.
